Mrs. Woods and Ms. Schroth’s classes absolutely crushed their reading goals in the month of April—each class read over 300,000 words! This is the highest total we’ve ever seen in all the years we’ve been doing this. What an incredible achievement!
Ms. Schroth’s class read a total of 325,662 words, and Mrs. Woods’ class reached an impressive 350,704 words! 🤯👏
To celebrate this record-breaking accomplishment, we enjoyed a well-earned ice cream party, because hard work this sweet deserves a sweet reward!

Our 3rd grade Wahoos are hard at work using the scientific method to investigate how light absorption affects temperature. Students are collecting and analyzing real-time data as they explore this hands-on science concept!
Mrs. Lang’s class recently brought science to life through an exciting hands-on project exploring different forms of energy! Students designed and built their own roller coasters, discovering how potential and kinetic energy work together to keep the ride in motion. Through creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork, they tested and improved their designs while having a blast. It was an engaging way to make learning fun and memorable!
We are so proud of the A. Gary Walsingham Academy Choir for their wonderful performance at the Annual Elementary Music Festival! Our talented Wahoos represented our school with confidence, teamwork, and beautiful voices.
Events like this showcase the dedication and hard work our students put into developing their musical talents. Thank you to our choir students for sharing their gifts and representing Walsingham so well!

Our 1st Grade Wahoos had a fantastic morning exploring with shape manipulatives! Students investigated the attributes of different shapes, identifying sides and vertices, and discovered how shapes can fit inside one another. It was exciting to see them making connections and having fun while learning!
Our 3rd grade math group is diving into equivalent fractions, improper fractions, and mixed numbers — and they’re using hands-on manipulatives to make their thinking visible! 🧩
