Our PreK Wahoos are putting their easels to work in new and exciting ways! Through drawing, painting, and partner activities at two easels, students are building fine motor, math, and language skills while working collaboratively with peers. They absolutely love it — and it’s clear that easels are for so much more than just painting! 😊

Mrs. Woods’ 1st grade Wahoos went on a measurement scavenger hunt this morning! Each student was given a plastic inchworm they had to measure with a ruler and then find objects around the classroom that were shorter than, equal to, and longer than their inchworm. After they found their objects, they recorded their findings in their math and science journal. Some of the more whimsical discoveries included a computer charging cord, soda tabs, and a domino.

Mrs. Lang’s class had a blast exploring science today! 🎈 Students created a chemical change that produced gas to inflate their balloons—hands-on learning at its best! They also investigated physical properties using their senses (except sight!) to make careful observations. Future scientists in action! 🔬✨

Third grade Wahoos got hands-on with science today 🧈🧪
They learned all about states of matter by shaking cream and turning a liquid into solid butter! Learning is better (and tastier) when you can see it, feel it, and make it yourself. 💙🐟

Our VPK Wahoos were spot-tacular as they dressed like Dalmatians to celebrate 101 days of learning! So much fun marking 101 days of growth and smiles at Walsingham.

Our kindergarten Wahoos had a wonderful time celebrating the 100th day of school by dressing up like 100-year-olds and enjoying fun classroom activities centered around the number 100. It was an engaging way to highlight how much they have learned and how far they have come in just 100 days of school.

Mrs. Lang’s class brought science to life by using string to model a food web, helping students visualize how plants and animals are connected and depend on one another. 🕸️🌱

📚💙 Our Walsingham Academy K-Kids loved sharing the joy of reading with Ms. Ham’s second grade class! It was wonderful to see our student leaders reading aloud, building connections, and inspiring a love of books in our younger Wahoos. Moments like these show how service and leadership go hand in hand at Walsingham Academy. 💙📚

💙 Thank You, Women’s Club of Panama City Beach! 💙
We are incredibly grateful to the Women’s Club of Panama City Beach for their generous donation of clothing to support our school clothing closet. Because of your kindness, our students will have access to the essentials they need to feel comfortable, confident, and ready to learn each day.
Your continued support makes a meaningful difference in the lives of our families and truly reflects the spirit of community. Thank you for thinking of our students and for all that you do!

Walsingham Academy is shining bright in the new year. We had a fantastic time celebrating our students during the pep rally on Friday, recognizing our Wahoos of the Month, Perfect Attendance Bike Winners, and participants in the PBIS Glow Party. Continue the excellent work, Wahoos!

A. Gary Walsingham Academy families and community members are invited to join us for our upcoming SAC Meeting on Monday, January 26 at 2:30 PM.
