At Walsingham Academy, learning comes alive through our dynamic STEAM program, where Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics are thoughtfully integrated to inspire curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving in every student.

Our STEAM approach goes beyond isolated lessons. Students are encouraged to ask questions, explore real-world challenges, collaborate with peers, and design solutions that reflect both critical thinking and creativity. From our youngest learners to our upper elementary students, hands-on experiences are at the heart of instruction.
In the STEAM classroom, students engage in a wide range of meaningful learning experiences. They design and build structures to solve engineering challenges, use technology to research, code, and create digital projects, and apply mathematical thinking to real-life problems. Students explore scientific concepts through inquiry and experimentation while also expressing their understanding through art, design, and creative presentation.

By blending academic content with innovation and the arts, students learn that there is often more than one way to solve a problem. They develop perseverance, teamwork skills, and confidence in their ability to think critically and creatively.
Through intentional instruction, engaging projects, and meaningful connections across subjects, Walsingham Academy’s STEAM program empowers students to become curious learners, innovative thinkers, and confident problem-solvers who are ready to lead and succeed both in and beyond the classroom.
