Principal Welcome

Welcome to A. Gary Walsingham Academy, located in beautiful Panama City Beach. During the 2023-2024 school year, we will serve students in grades K-4 and will also be home to all of the pre-kindergarten programs for the beach schools. We anticipate adding a grade level each year until we are operating as a K-5 school with a thriving pre-k center. It’s even possible in the future, depending upon direction from the School Board, that A. Gary Walsingham Academy may become a K-8 school like neighboring Breakfast Point Academy.

The dedicated staff of A. Gary Walsingham Academy is proud to offer students unique learning opportunities that are relevant, meaningful and have a direct correlation to the real world. We believe that this is a vital element for increasing student motivation, empowering students to take ownership of their learning, and igniting a passion for exploration .

All our classrooms are designed and furnished to encourage collaborative learning, include the latest technology and share a paired learning space with a neighboring classroom. Our media center is a future-ready learning space consisting of a variety of learning options and environments such as; flexible seating, movable chairs and desks, quiet study areas, collaborative spaces, and technology stations. The Wahoo Commons building houses our Wahoo Cafe, STEAM and music classrooms and a performance stage complete with a high-tech sound system and lighting. Outdoor play is so important and we have lots of room to play! Three separate playgrounds, a covered courtyard, an outdoor dining area and a large grassy field along with the adjacent wetlands, our Wahoos have plenty of opportunity to enjoy the fresh air and sunshine.
